Аннотация:In a previously developed model, the additive summation of charges on the clean portions of the electrode surface and those occupied by adsorbate was assumed with an impressed potential difference in the compact layer. Within the framework of this model, equations are obtained to calculate the adsorption and total differential capacitance of the double layer in solutions of binary electrolytes. The equations developed give a practical, quantitative description of the experimental data obtained on a mercury electrode in aqueous solutions of CF//3COONa.
