Аннотация:Vol.89, pages 2860–2864(2019);Abstract. — New facts related to the stratification of a freshwater ecosystem, essential for understanding the verticalstructure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems, were derived from studies of epilimnion, metalimnion, and hypo-limnion of Glubokoe Lake (Moscow Oblast) chosen as the study object. The concentration of dissolved oxygen,temperature, and hydrobiological parameters, as well as the amount of suspended detrital particles were determinedat different depths from 0 to 30 m. Due to the difference in water temperature and density, a large amount of detritusaccumulated in the metalimnion (thermocline); increased abundance of bacteria and phytoplankton was observed.Increases in the content of organic matter and in abundance of aquatic organisms led to intense destruction processes. This is evidenced by a decrease in the oxygen concentration due to oxygen consumption associated withoxidative decomposition of organic matter.
