Аннотация:The main problems and areas of application of photothermal and optoacoustic spectroscopy are summarized. The trends in the development of novel methods or in the most developing areas are discussed: microspectroscopy, multispectral methods, measurements of single particles and objects with a resolution above the diffraction limit (nanoscopy), including both optical and probe methods. The possibilities of photothermal and optoacoustic modalities for assessing the properties of materials, in photochemistry and fluorescence studies, chemical reaction monitoring, analytical and applied chemistry, as well as in solving biomedical problems are summed up. The outlooks for the development of these methods are discussed.
