Аннотация: The development of small molecule nerve growth factor (NGF) mimetics for the treatment of some neurodegenerative disorders is a promising research trend in pharmacology. A dipeptide mimetic of NGF loop 4 b-turn named GK-2 has been synthesized in the Institute of Pharmacology RAMS. GK-2 showed good NGF-like neuroprotective activity in vitro (10−5–10−9 M) [1] and also neuroprotective and antiamnesic properties in a model of photoinduced focal cerebral ischemia in rat cerebral cortex [2].
