Аннотация:For year-round monitoring of the permafrost in the upper Kolyma basin ten thermometric wells up to 15 m deep were drilled and equipped in 2021-2022. The wells are located at altitudes from 618 to 1182 m in characteristic mountain landscapes such as rocky talus, mountainous tundra and sparse larch-forest. Continuous 4-hour monitoring of soil temperature at various depths is carried out. Data were obtained on the average annual temperature of ground, the depth of seasonal thawing/freezing. Further development of the regional monitoring network is planned on the basis of the data and experience gained.
