Аннотация:This paper presents the results of a study of the kinetic characteristics of scandium sorption from a uranium sorption mother liquor with an ion exchanger on a phosphorus-containing cation exchanger Purolite MTS9580 (the functional group is phosphonic acid derivatives). The adequacy of using Boyd's diffusion model, Lagergren's, Ho's, and McKay's models to describe sorption is shown by the kinetics in the systems under consideration.Based on the study of the kinetics of scandium sorption by an ion exchanger from the mother solution of uranium sorption, it was found that the mechanism of the sorption process is complex. The determining influence of intra-diffusion transfer (gel diffusion) on scandium sorption by Purolite MTS9580 ion exchanger (R2 >0.99) has been established. It was found that the chemical stage of scandium sorption on the Purolite MTS9580 cation exchange resin is described by a pseudo-second order model (R2 = 0.999). Based on the high values of the coefficients of determination (R2 >0.99), the adequacy of using the Boyd diffusion model and the pseudo-second order kinetic model (the Ho and McKay equation) to describe the sorption kinetics in the system under consideration is shown.
